Standing
Your building has a reputation and a class. A better class unlocks taller construction, new rooms and new kinds of tenants; a good reputation brings more prospects.
Reputation
Reputation runs from 0 to 100 and starts at 50. Every closing it moves part of the way toward the day's assessment of:
- how satisfied your tenants are;
- how well the building is served (utilities, cleanliness, condition);
- how short the elevator waits are (30 seconds or less is perfect);
- how many units are let.
Every tenant who moved out that morning costs reputation, and so does a fire. At 0 reputation only half as many prospects come; at 100, half as many again.
Classes
| Class | People | Reputation | Needs | Build up to | Unlocks |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Class C | — | — | — | floor 12 | the basic rooms |
| Class B | 35 | 55 | an Elevator Shaft | floor 25 | Service Elevator, Fitness Club, Cinema; Design studio and Single professional tenants |
| Class A | 100 | 65 | a Service Elevator and a Telecom Room | floor 45 | Express Elevator, Sky Lobby, Theatre, Sky Bar; Consultancy tenants |
| Prime | 250 | 75 | an Express Elevator and a Sky Lobby | no limit | — |
People means residents and workers; staff do not count. A building rises at most one class a day and never drops back. A banner announces each promotion.
The Standing panel (⌥⌘P) shows the class, the reputation and today's assessment, and what the next class still needs, with ✓ for what is done.
In the sandbox everything is unlocked, but class and reputation are still tracked.
